Graphic Designer (Volunteer)

Do you have an eye for design?

 

HCC, a nonprofit organization that provides support to people of color and immigrants impacted by social discrimination and chronic illnesses, is looking for a graphic designer for our community programs and outreach efforts. In this position, you will primarily be working remotely.

 

All you need is access to a computer. The successful candidate can be a professional or a student who is a currently enrolled or recent college graduate studying graphic design. We're looking for a reliable, ambitious and compassionate individual who has knowledge of the various design programs. We will be offering a flexible schedule, so candidates can pursue other opportunities simultaneously while also doing something to impact the community in a positive way.

 

The Graphic Design Volunteer will be responsible for providing marketing materials through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. The Graphic Design volunteer will report to the Deputy Executive Director and will assist with the development and design of core HCC graphics, logos, collateral, event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.

 

• Assist with the production and design of printed and digital marketing materials including; flyers, direct mail pieces, brochures, web banners, advertisements, e-mail blasts, and social media campaigns

• Creation of various logos for events

• Assist with video and photography editing

• Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments

• Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software.

• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly

 

This is a volunteer position with flexible hours.
